2 Chainz enjoyed a hell of a run in 2016. From teaming up with Lil Wayne to release their collaborative project, ColleGrove, to releasing his mixtape, Daniel Son; Necklace Don, to dropping stellar guest verses for, well, just about everyone, the Atlanta rapper was a problem last year. And it appears as though 2017 is already shaping up to be a big year for him, too.

2 Chainz rang in the new year by hanging out with Wayne and LeBron James over the weekend:

This my real brother !! We bring in the new year together for a reason !! It's time !! Real rap is back

But it looks like he got right back to business after the New Year's Eve party ended by kicking it with Justin Bieber and discussing some new music with him. He posted this cryptic message on Instagram on Monday morning indicating that he might be jumping into the studio with Biebs sometime soon to "take JB to the trap":

New music on the way ??? Take JB to the trap ???

2 Chainz didn’t elaborate any further, so it’s unclear when he will get around to dropping new music with Bieber, if ever. But not to worry. Even if this particular project doesn’t drop soon, we’re sure 2 Chainz has plenty of other stuff cooking up at the moment. Stay tuned for new music from him.
