With less than 48 hours left until the start of 2017, Kamaiyah decided to treat her fans with a little gift to ring in the New Year.

The Oakland rapper revisits her A Good Night in the Ghetto album to drop a video for “Freaky Freaks.” Anyone who loves the ’90s will appreciate the song’s interpolation of Kurupt’s “We Can Freak It,” and the visuals capture that feeling perfectly. With champagne glass in hand, Kamaiyah throws a turnt up pajama jam where everyone in attendance is dressed in their coziest PJs. Surrounded by colorful balloons that seemingly don’t stop falling from the ceiling, people are getting down and having a good time.

This weekend will be filled with parties toasting to 2016’s accomplishments and the excitement of what 2017 will bring. For Kamaiyah, she’s already trying to make one of her resolutions a reality.

2017 goal is to work with @NICKIMINAJ 😉 speaking it into existence now 😊

Her desire to work with Nicki Minaj has been pretty well-known this year. Speaking with XXL, she talked about trying to get Trina or the YMCMB rapper on “N****s.” "I wanted a female rapper who I felt was going to fit the record but she [Trina] never came through, so now I’m like Nicki would be fire,” she said at the time.

Nicki’s been on a remix run lately, so never say never.
