South London-raised vocalist Ojerime emerged last year with her introductory EP, The Silhouette, and followed it up this summer with fang2001. A much more polished and perfected effort, the 7-track EP perfectly showcased her penchant for '90s R&B, whilst still sounding like the future. Today, Ojerime shares a dual video for "R U Sure" and "56 Plate Corsa"—two standouts from the EP. Opening out with a subtle sample of Emile Haynie's "A Kiss Goodnight", "R U Sure" carries a dark and menacing production as Ojerime soars effortlessly, pondering on the in and out status of a relationship. The visual then closes out with the brooding "56 Plate Corsa"; an interlude of sorts, we're taken under the stars and moonlight on a late night ride through the city. A refreshing slice of throwback R&B, with a distinctly British twist, check out the Dir Lx-directed visuals above and pick up fang2001 right here.
