Premiere: Caspa & Rusko Have Dropped The Visuals For "Ravers Tears" From The #savefabric Comp

The track, taken from the 111-track comp, is an ode to the many years the duo spent at the club.

We're all acutely aware of fabric's closure this year—and still hurt by it. Though the club remains closed, the fight to overturn the ruling continues. Not long after the closure, Houndstooth in conjunction with fabric Records, released a massive 111-track compilation of new tracks donated by the artists to raise funds to help the club and label. It was an impressive collection and one that spanned the vast range of sounds you'd hear at the club. Tracks came from old and new heads alike, including Coldcut, Clams Casino, House Of Black Lanterns, Marquis Hawkes, Pinch, DJ Tennis, Om Unit, dBridge, Skream, t q d, Machinedrum and the above track from dubstep dons Caspa & Rusko

Today, the duo are dropping the visuals for the track, hopefully giving the comp an extra boost. Accompanied by a simple video that sees a skateboarder take us on a POV tour of London's sights, "Ravers Tears" plays out like a slightly melancholic love letter to the club. That said, there's a subtle optimism in the uplifting keys and skank-ready rhythms. Even the title, as Caspa explained to us via email, has nostalgic roots: "There's a large pipe that runs right over the top of the DJ booth in room 3. Over the night condensation used to build up and drip down like rain drops, straight on my freshly cut dub plates. We ended up naming them Ravers Tears. Don't believe what they tell you. If you take away fabric, you take away part of our heritage and culture."

#savefabric is out now on Houndstooth and fabric Records.
