Kanye West is “paranoid and profoundly depressed” as he remains hospitalized at UCLA Medical Center, according to a new report by TMZ.

West’s hospitalization comes after he canceled the remaining dates of the “Saint Pablo” tour, as well as a pattern of bizzare behavior and speeches that spoke about radio, Jay Z, voting for Donald Trump, and many more headline-worthy comments. A source close to West’s family say he was being treated for exhaustion.

West was reportedly doing much better after having a chance to get some rest. According to ET, his wife Kim Kardashian was in NYC for the Angel Ball, but flew back to L.A. to be right by his side. "[Kim] is currently with Kanye right now at his side. Kim feels more connected to Kanye than ever. Their marriage is doing great," the source said.

However, Kanye may have been admitted for another issue. TMZ uncovers that West has been dealing with issues of paranoia and depression for a long time. When West was admitted into the hospital on Monday (Nov. 21), TMZ claims he believed everyone was out to get him, including the doctors who were caring for his health and safety. For a period of time, TMZ alleges he wouldn’t even let the doctors come evaluate him.

TMZ’s sources say the paranoia has been building up inside for months, and the goal for West is to get him checked out of the hospital by this upcoming Monday so he can be under the care of his personal physician. Only time will tell if he'll feel better enough to receive out-of-patient care.
