Erykah Badu did double duty during the 2016 Soul Train Awards.

In addition to hosting the annual ceremony for the second year in a row, the 45-year-old singer also took the stage with D.R.A.M. to perform their collaborative single “Wifi,” which was included on the Virginia’ rappers debut album Big Baby D.R.A.M.

“[D.R.A.M.] has something very special. The way he writes. The way he performs. The way he fills a room with his presence,” Badu explained during an interview with Rap Radar. “He knows who he is and you get the sense that he knows and appreciates who he is and he doesn’t allow infiltration.”

According to a recent GQ article, D.R.A.M. seemed equally impressed by the songstress.

"It was so lit, yo," D.R.A.M. said about his collaboration with Badu. "She's the queen. It's just a nice introduction to the combination of what D.R.A.M. and Erykah Badu sounds like. She's cool, the whole process was just smooth. No pulling of teeth. She's one of a kind."

Another highlight during this year’s Soul Train Awards was when Brandy Norwood performed a medley of her greatest hits, including “What About Us?,” “Full Moon," and "Top of the World" with Mase. Brandy was also the 2016 Lady Of Soul Recipient. You can check out her performance below.
