Vince Staples recently stopped by Hot 97 to showcase his rhymes for Funk Flex's running "Freestyles on Flex" series, and the Long Beach, California rapper did not disappoint.

Over RZA's classic beat for Raekwon's "Ice Cream," Vince goes off for three straight minutes in his signature flow, shouting out M.I.A. ("Every night on my knees I pray/My next girl look like M.I.A."), referencing Star Wars, and focusing his crosshairs on wack rappers ("Niggas in this rap game all bitch made/Do it for the fame, I do it for the fam").

He also addressed the current climate in America with a spin on Black Lives Matter that should get people talking:

"If my black lives matter motherfucker stop killing/If my black lives matter motherfucker stop snitching/If my black lives matter motherfucker start business in your hood/Instead of letting fucking Starbucks in it/If my black lives matter then respect our women/If my black lives matter don't neglect our children/If my black lives matter, if the police take my shit/With a pistol, don't march, go kill 'em."

Vince's name was recently in the news after a woman recited lyrics to his "Norf Norf" track and criticized him for his language. The incident received a ton of backlash, though Vince later defended her right to an opinion on the matter. It's likely this freestyle took place after the fact, otherwise he probably would have a thrown a reference in.

Check out the full freestyle above as a reminder of how dope Vince is on the mic, and grab his Prima Donna EP on iTunes.
