The Weeknd may have canceled his performance at The Meadows in Queens this weekend, but we’re still getting to see him in another capacity.

The Weeknd is tonight’s musical guest for SNL’s season 42 opener with host Margot Robbie. While many have speculated the surprises he has in store, The Weeknd played it safe and performed his new single “Starboy” as well as “False Alarm,” which he dropped earlier this week.

The Weeknd’s appearance on SNL is the second time he’s been officially apart of the line-up. In 2014, he performed with Ariana Grande for “Love Me Harder.” When he returned in 2015, he played Beauty Behind the Madness singles  “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills.” And earlier this year, when Future was on the show, he appeared to sing “Low Life.”

"Starboy" will appear on his upcoming third studio album of the same name, which is due out Nov. 25. The initial announcement of the project caused Twitter to go crazy when fans saw the Nabil-photographed artwork of Abel Tesfaye with his hair switched from it signature style. The title track features Daft Punk, and could mean we'll see more of the French electronic duo on the project.
