Big Dope P

We've already spent manypagesextollingthe virtues of producer Big Dope P, and his Moveltraxx label's Street Bangers Factory series. Volumes 1-4 dropped in quick succession over the last year or two—and the fifth one is right around the corner (Sept. 23). This time round, Big Dope P has drafted in turntablist Shiftee, Moveltraxx veteran Feadz, Trekkie Trax producer Hiroki Yamamura, and Parisian club-wrecker Dudley Slang—but it was Big Dope P's own "Lapdance" that caught our ears the quickest. A choppy, heart-racing club track that balances the kinetic energy of footwork with some inventive (and obscene) sample choices for a sure-fire club weapon. Listen below.
