Worldwide FM

Gilles Peterson is launching a new global radio service today. Worldwide FM will stream from Stoke Newington, London across the globe—playing host to a plethora of both local and world music. Boiler Room's Thris Tian will be co-hosting the show, which will feature regular DJs, special guests, interviews, discussions and live sessions.

In June, we brought you the news of Gilles' new role as Creative Director for  file-hosting service WeTransfer—who will be providing the backing for the new radio station, which is set to launch in several other locations across the world. We interviewed Gilles back in June, who gave us further information about what Worldwide FM will encompass:

"Every morning, Worldwide FM is going to be held in a different city across Europe: Brussels, Berlin, Rome, Paris, Istanbul. That will be the 8-10 morning thing, with the 10-6 slot being UK based and the rest of the show taking place in LA. It's going to go across Japan and Asia, South America, so it will really make for a fully 'worldwide' station in every respect."

Lock in to the new station here.
