Producer 9th Wonder always keeps it real. The North Carolina native and hip-hop scholar decided to start an important conversation on Twitter about the recent controversies surrounding certain new school rappers. Although some people in his generation disparage like Lil Yachty, Lil Uzi Vert, and Kodak Black, 9th Wonder came to their defense. "People have to accept the fact that the rubric or standard for each generation is different," he wrote. "So leave Lil' Uzi Vert, Lil' Yachty, Kodak Black, etc....alone Fam. We got our greats. Ain't nobody said you gotta like them...."

The conversation originally sparked up last Friday, but 9th Wonder came back to it on Monday, sharing more thoughts and trading ideas with his many followers. You can check out what he had to say below.

You can hop over to 9th Wonder's Twitter page to see more of his back-and-forth with supporters and critics of his message.
