Does Frank Ocean enjoy playing with people’s emotions? Earlier this month, the 28-year-old singer updated his website with a graphic that suggested his long-awaited album would drop sometime in July.  Well, we’re only a day away from August, and we’re still waiting on Boys Don’t Cry.

So what’s going on, Frank? Haven’t we waited long enough?

Not too long after his debut album channel ORANGE dropped in 2012, Ocean’s follow-up started generating a good amount of buzz. He began talking about the project’s contents all the back in 2013, and has since taken fans on a wild rollercoaster ride of feels. They’ve been teased with cryptic Tumblr posts, a leaked snippet of what sounded like a new Ocean song, and, of course, all those damn rumored released dates. The series of false alarms are annoying, no doubt, but they haven’t pushed people to abandon hope—it’s just made them slowly lose patience.

Now, with only a few more hours left in July and no sign of a new Ocean album, many have turned to Twitter to express their disappointment.
