Everyone knows Faith Evans' landmark 1998 hit "Love Like This", the oft-sampled amalgam of funk, disco and golden '90s R&B, so it takes a brave producer to step up to put their own spin on it. The track was in safe hands with Bristol's Conducta though. Taking it into full-blown UKG banger territory, Conducta speeds up the vocals a little, adds a popping percussion line and, for the most part, strips away much of the beat and melody, in favour of some bouncy bass and a jazzy new melody. A respectful but entirely fresh take on a classic.
