They didn't want him to have a No. 1 album, but he went and made one anyway. With 95,000 equivalent album units sold, DJ Khaled's ninth studio album Major Key has been certified as his first career No. 1 on Billboard's weekly Top 200 ranking. It's a tremendous coup for Khaled, who frequently extols the power of believing in yourself as the secret to success. The 32-guest stars, including Future, Nas, and Jay-Z that he enlisted to appear on Major Key didn't hurt his prospects either.

Khaled's latest release was an Apple Music and iTunes exclusive in its first week of release and is officially his ninth entry into the Billboard Top 200. His previous high mark on the chart came back in 2012, when Kiss The Ring hit No. 4 overall. The influential Miami producer celebrated his latest and greatest milestone with a fan love video that also revealed that his single "For Free" featuring Drake is the No. 1 song in the country.

The success of "For Free" has got to give Drake a little bit of solace after Major Key bumped his album VIEWS down to the No. 2 position. That being said, with an historic 12-nonconsecutive weeks at the top of the charts already logged, as well as the chance to take back the throne next week, we're betting that Drizzy isn't sweating Khaled taking over—for now, at least.
