The rappers who brought us "No Lie" are reuniting, and they announced it in the best way possible.

2 Chainz took to Instagram Monday night to announce the imminent release of his new mixtape Daniel Son; Necklace Don. He revealed the project by posting a hilarious text exchange between himself and Drake. After hearing that the tape was dropping on Apple Music, Drake responds with a flurry of praising hand emojis and an inquiry about hooking 2 Chainz up with his contacts there. Joining the already stacked lineup of Travi$ Scott's Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight and Frank Ocean's Boys Don't Cry, 2 Chainz will also be dropping the mixtape this Friday.

Daniel Son; Necklace Don will actually be 2 Chainz' third project of the year. He dropped the mixtape Felt Like Cappin' in January, and linked up with Lil Wayne for their collaborative project ColleGrove in March. Wayne and 2 Chainz have since been supporting the album with a number of concerts and special appearances together.

The project's artwork lives up to the hype of its name, taking its cue from the Karate Kid and featuring an animated 2 Chainz decked in a headband and a significant amount of jewelry around his neck, which the rapper also revealed on Instagram.

Assuming the text with Drake means that their collaboration will end up on the mixtape, this will be the first musical reunion between the two since they stormed the Billboard Hot 100 with "No Lie" back in 2012. Can they recreate the same magic this time around? We'll find out Friday.
