Because it's 2016, there is now a song that addresses both Pokémon Go and the Black Lives Matter movement. Aptly titled "Pokémon Lives Matter," Daylyt's song is set over a cut of the original Pokémon theme song. Despite its admittedly ridiculous premise, "Pokémon Lives Matter" actually addresses the idea that people are too distracted playing Pokémon Go to care about important things like police brutality and the new civil rights movement.

"We went from telling all the cops we gonna blast toys/To every nigga tryna cop them a Blastoise," Daylyt raps. "I'm hoping we can go, but Go got blacks lazy/Please stop it, we marching for black babies/Feed topics, Team Rocket, the cats crazy." There are some other strangely entertaining lines as well, like when Daylyt raps "Murder rate, niggas tryna catch Squirtle weight."

Pokémon Go has basically taken over the world at this point. The game added billions to Nintendo's valuation and inspired a number of wild stories from players. These range from a Wyoming girl finding a dead body while playing to two Florida teens being shot at after someone mistook them for robbers. According to "Pokémon Lives Matter," we've all become so distracted by this that we've forgotten about the real issues in our society. On the other hand, there have been a number of positive stories coming out of the game's launch, mostly centered around its encouragement of walking around in the real world and socializing with new people.
