North London rapper Coops has spent the best part of five years quietly honing his craft and shaping his sound and style. God Complex, his recently dropped debut album, is fifteen tracks of pensive, expressive rap covering themes of spirituality, self-belief and unshakeable vices. It would appear Coops has arrived as the artist he's always intended and today shares "Water", one of the album's high points. Opening out with the timeless musings of martial arts legend Bruce Lee, Coops heeds the advice and formlessly swirls around the instrumental, indeed, like water. Dropping rhymes over a stuttering, drum-heavy backdrop, it's all smoothed out by vocals from Visaka for a concise slice of his current sound. Press play on "Water" down below.
