A doorman at the Hyde Nightclub in Los Angeles is reportedly suing Lil Wayne for battery. According to a report from TMZ, the doorman says Wayne punched him while at a club after the BET Awards. The report claims several members of Wayne's crew were turned away at the door to the club, where he and 2 Chainz were hosting a BET Awards after party.

The report claims Wayne then punched the doorman in the face, causing him to be hospitalized; he was released later that night. If true, Lil Wayne could face misdemeanor battery charges for the incident.

It's been a rough few weeks for Lil Wayne. His plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Nebraska on June 13 after he suffered from a series of seizures. These are the first seizures Wayne has had since 2013, when a string of them led to grounded flights and canceled tour dates.

He's since come out and said the seizures were caused by his epilepsy, after he was unable to access his normal medication while in Milwaukee. Although many reports have blamed the episode on his use of lean, Wayne has denied that this had anything to do with the incident. Wayne soon returned to his rigorous tour schedule without cancelling any dates.

The only bright spot has been the release of his Suicide Squad song "Sucker for Pain," alongside Wiz Khalifa and Ty Dolla $ign. You can learn more about the alleged nightclub incident by reading TMZ's report.
