UPDATED September 30, 6:15 p.m. ET: Despite an attempt last week to modify his schedule to perform at both The Meadows and on Saturday Night Live, The Weeknd has announced he will no longer be able to perform at Meadows on Saturday.

UPDATED September 22, 1:10 p.m. ET: The Meadows Festival took to Twitter Thursday to announce that J. Cole will be replacing the Weeknd as the festival's headliner "due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts." No more information was provided, but it's interesting timing considering the Weeknd just announced his new album, Starboy, and dropped the project's title track on Wednesday.

Following the announcement, The Weeknd tweeted that he will still be performing at The Meadows, just at a different time. It turns out the "unforeseen scheduling conflict" was that The Weeknd would be performing on Saturday Night Live later that evening. NYC is about to get a double dose of Abel.

Founders Entertainment, the brain trust behind Governors Ball, has announced the lineup for the inaugural Meadows Music and Arts Festival which will take place at Citi Field in Queens, New York City in October. Given their track record for talent with Gov Ball, Founders comes through with an equally impressive lineup for the two-day weekend festival that includes Kanye West, the Weeknd, Chance the Rapper, Mac Miller, Bryson Tiller, and 30-plus more acts.

The inclusion of Kanye should bring some extra joy to 2016 Governors Ball attendees as the rapper's performance this year was cancelled due to inclement weather. As an added bonus, Gov Ball ticket purchasers can expect a promo code via email for pre-sale tickets to Meadows Music and Arts Festival. Pre-sale goes live Wednesday (June 22) at 11 a.m. (EST). General ticket purchase will be available Thursday (June 23) at 11 a.m.

“Launching the Meadows Festival in Queens this fall with an incredible lineup of music, art, food and culture is a dream come true," Tom Russell, partner at Founders Entertainment, said in a statement. "As a native New Yorker I grew up in awe of the innovative spirit surrounding Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. With this event we can shine a spotlight once again on this iconic neighborhood and bring with it the economic benefits, strong community partnerships and local hiring for which Founders Entertainment is known. We are so grateful to the de Blasio Administration and Metropolitan Hospitality for giving us this opportunity and to all the artists who have enthusiastically agreed to take this inaugural ride with us.”

Additional acts to take the stage at Meadows Music and Arts Festival include ZHU, Pusha T, Post Malone, Grimes, as well as an artist whose name is being kept under wraps. Got us like:
