Sunday night's NBA Finals was nothing short of huge moments, which is why you may have missed an especially hilarious surprise when Jamie Foxx arrived on the screen playing Future's dad for a new Verizon commercial.

The whole thing opens up like a music video with Jamie Foxx decked out in a tan suit playing the rapper's father—Past—and parodying Future as he dabs across the screen doing his own version of "Fuck Up Some Commas." Of course, Foxx changed the lyrics in a way that bolster's Verizon's best features. "They call me the past/My son is Future/I taught the boy everything," raps Foxx before praising Verizon's national rating and connectivity as well as referencing AT&T.

Verizon also takes the opportunity to have Foxx call out Sprint who is now using the guy from their "Can You Hear Me Now?" campaign in their new commercials. The Sprint commercial aired during Game 2 of the NBA Finals, but it seems it's Verizon that got the last word in. Verizon responded to Sprint's commercial in a statement to Time. "They're using our 2002 pitchman because they're finally catching up to where we were in 2002. Of course since then, we've spent billions of dollars—$11 billion last year alone—improving and expanding America's best wireless network."

The commercial also seemed to have gotten a response from Future:

Thanks for the love...super

Honestly, this new commercial is pretty catchy. We can't say we'd expect any less from Future's dad/Jamie Foxx. Well played, Verizon.
