Beyoncé has helped raise over $82,000 for victims of the Flint Water Crisis as they continue to be affected by the contaminated water supply. Beyoncé's entertainment and management company, Parkwood Entertainment, gave a $82,234 check to the United Way of Genesee County at a Detroit high school in partnership with her philanthropic foundation, BeyGOOD, according to a press release. The thousands of dollars were raised by Beyoncé fans who opted to contribute to the Flint fund while purchasing tickets for Beyoncé's "Formation" tour. The money will go directly towards "distributing thousands of filtration pitchers, faucet mount filters, replacement cartridges, and truckloads of water to underserved populations to address immediate needs" to the people affected in Flint, Mich., according to a statement from Live Nation

However, Bey's company didn't end there. Parkwood also announced 14 students selected by their high school principals and faculty will receive college gifts to help with their education expenses. Those same students also received surprise tickets to Beyoncé's Detroit tour stop.

This isn't the first time an artist has stepped up to help the people of Flint. Earlier this year, Diddy, Eminem, Wiz Khalifa, Big Sean, Meek Mill, and The Game all mobilized support and funds for the crisis.

Clearly, Bey is teaching others to BeyGOOD by leading as the ultimate example. You can get involved with the United Way and help with Flint's water crisis here.
