Premiere: Machines In Heaven Channel The Spirit Of Burial Into "Ruix Con"

Haunting vocals and sinister synths.

Haunting vocals and sinister synths define "Ruix Con", the new single from Glasgow's Machines In Heaven. Since winning Best Electro Act at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards in 2014, the three-piece electronic band have been touring extensively while they hone their sound from the shoegaze influences of their first album to what we hear today. Now, with new album Phenomenology on the way (due May 13 via Hot Gem Tunes), they're starting to tease out some tracks. Though "Ruix Con" would suggest an album rich in sounds influenced by the likes of Burial, Aphex Twin and The xx, the rest of the set boasts wider influences including new wave and '80s electro. All in all, it's probably safe to say we can look forward to an album with plenty of atmospherics and haunting vocals, but in myriad different settings.
