When Swizz Beatz's and Alicia Key's 5-year old son Egypt revealed that he was working on beats for Kendrick Lamar in a video taken during Super Bowl 50, most people merely thought, "oh, how cute." Then the credits for Lamar's most recent project untitled.unmastered dropped and sure enough, there was his name alongside some of the biggest producers in the game for the song, "Untitled 7 |2014 - 2016." Suddenly the joke was on everyone else, and Egypt's father took to Instagram to brag about his son's success.

Not willing to rest on his laurels, Egypt was recently filmed by his dad back in the studio working alongside no less than Q-Tip on some funky, fresh new beats. The 5-year old is filmed going at it on drum pad, pounding out melodic bass notes over a jazzy new track. Could this be meant for Tip's proposed solo album The Last Zulu? Could they be working together on some more material for Kendrick? Is Egypt planning on striking out on his own? The mind races with all the possibilities.
