London's DJ Jampak recently connected with premier Dutch collectives Grimeyard and Red Light Radio for a special broadcast on Mode FM. With DJs Sankoffa and Potentz behind the decks, drawing for killer dubs as Grimeyard's MC XL spits bars in his native tongue—in terms of language, particularly cadence and rhyme—it's fascinating to hear the many similarities as well as the subtle differences. On connecting grime music with like-minded DJs and MCs overseas, Jampak says: "To see the progression of something spread so far is crazy and I'm pleased to see these man embracing it and helping to push it forward." And on the growing grime scene in Holland, MC XL adds: "There's now space for a couple of raves every few months. The people are getting used to the sound as it becomes a global thing." Get into it below, and catch Jampak at MOTION in Dalston (The Nest) on April 17.
