One of the best things about clubbing and nightlife is that it can, occasionally, be slightly absurd. On "Charlie's House Cut", the latest offering from Glasgow-based producer Edwin Organ, offers up a rye tale of making the best of an empty club, all wrapped up in a surreal, topsy-turvy beat. "This song is an ode to the unfulfilling night out," he explained to us via email. "To paying £10 entry on a Wednesday night, only to find the dance floor empty. You take solace in that fact that you don't have to queue to take a leak. You stand there in awkward silence with Darren who's all white shirt and whiter lines. This sweat box is his domain."
