Last summer we brought you news of a rising name in UK hip-hop, Dave. At the time, he showed hints of delving into a range of sounds from southern hip-hop to grime, all merged into a rich but cohesive blend. Referencing P Money's "10/10" and sampling Kano's "Ps & Qs" on new track "Rain & Snow", he pays homage to the grime sounds he loves and, although he's "never been Deja", he's still "major on these beats." So don't get it twisted: Dave is no cultural tourist. His knowledge of and passion for hip-hop and grime puts him in the perfect position to combine the two in his own image.
