Mozzy's penchant for reality raps is a strength that has helped push his brand beyond Sacramento, and that certainly continued with the release of his latest mixtape, Beautiful Struggle. Today, we receive the visual for the title-track off the project, and it's a fitting presentation of what the rapper is all about.
The T-Strong VFX-directed video features footage of Mozzy and his crew going hard at a concert, and they keep the wave going when they hit the hotel room. Even with the turn-up in full effect, Mozzy makes it a point to deliver his sobering rhymes with emotion. "I thank God I ain't use a condom 'cause this lil' girl the reason why I'm poppin'/She the reason why I get it," he raps about his daughter, with a double cup in tow.
"The journey is what makes the man and my journey has been rough. But I love every part of it," Mozzy told Complex via email. "Something bad like jail could save your life. Being broke creates that drive to be successful. It's all a part of the beautiful struggle."
