There have been an outpour of tributes to Prince by musicians from across all genres, and tonight Donnie Trumpet of the Social Experiment has shared “In Your Light.”
Donnie is coming off the success of last year's Surf with Chance the Rapper, as well as his big feature on D.R.A.M.’s “$.” off his Gahdamn! EP. His latest track features singer Sima Cunningham and it is dedicated to Prince and his rare song “Donna.” In his message that he wrote on SoundCloud, he says “Donna” got him through a tough time. To pay homage to Prince, who had a ton of unfinished songs, he wants to dedicate “In Your Light” to everyone who will ever hear it.
