Daye Jack comes through with his retro-themed video for "Finish Line." The David Gallardo-directed visual pays tribute to the rapper's high school soccer star past as he hits the track in a Nike tracksuit and raps about finding the motivation to leave the comfort of his bed every morning to do what he needs to do. The visual instantly transports you back to the golden era of the '90s when the TV was good and the music was even better. Still, there was nothing like the deafening sound of an alarm clock waking you up to get to school or your extracurricular activity. Somehow, Daye Jack is able to perfectly channel that very familiar feeling here.
Most recently, the Nigerian-born, Atlanta-based rapper finished up a 30-date tour with New Orleans' Pell. He is already heading back out on the road with Lukas Graham for a series of dates kicking off today in Portland, Ore. and taking him across the country through May.
