Birdmanhas been the center of some hilarious memes today after abruptly leaving his interview with The Breakfast Club. But in a previously taped interview with Angie Martinez, Stunna actually stuck around to talk about his childhood, his upcoming documentaries, Lil Wayneand more.

It seems like Birdman and Martinez have a good rapport after last year’s conversation in Miami. This time around, Birdman opens up about learning from Louis Farrakhan (“he told me I’m a genius”), how his mentors were the streets he grew up on, and getting a $30 million record deal at 18 years old from Universal Music Group.

Birdman also explains the idea of his biopic he’s been working on, which will spotlight his life up until his deal with UMG. “I just think it’s time,” he says. “I lost my momma and pops young. And my stepmother who raised me. A lot of [them], they getting old so I wanted to capture the real story, the real people who raised me. I was raised in a home with no parents, so I just wanted to capture people that were really part of my life that influenced me to be someone.” He adds that his personal documentary has already been shot.

“I’m also working on a Cash Money story,” he continues later in the interview. “This was life after I signed. That’s the one we working on right now.”

In terms of upcoming music projects, Birdman has his final solo album Ms. Gladys (June 24) and Rich Gang’s The Lifestyle 2 (July 1) coming this summer. He confirms that he’ll be apart of the Hot Boys project in the works helmed by Mannie Fresh. “You know, Fresh my bro and whatever Fresh wanna do I would support it. I wouldn’t stop him from doing it. I would want to get involved with it,” he says. “You know, Juvenile with us and Wayne a boss of his own, so whatever he want to do, I ain’t stopping him from doing nothing.”

As far as an update on his relationship with Weezy, he says he's been speaking with him and heard his new material in the studio. You can watch the entire interview above.
