Roche Musiqe spearhead Kartell has already more than earned his reputation for being the guy to remix your tune—his remix of SG Lewis' "No Less" last year being a notable example. So it makes perfect sense that Amtrac would tap him to remix his new single "Once Is Enough" (taken from the Lost In Motion remix EP due tomorrow, Mar. 25), an immensely danceable return to the disco sounds explored on Amtrac's 2012 album Hey There Kiddo. With a rigid and crisp beat at its heart, Kartell surrounds it with fleeting synth washes and a shimmering, throbbing melody punctuated by a jumpy and supremely catchy clipped vocal sample, all of which builds with gradual intensity for a subtle but rewarding hands-in-the-air apex.
