Earlier this week, it was reported that Offset of Migos was arrested for driving with a suspended license in Atlanta. Now TMZ has learned Offset was actually wrongfully taken into custody on Thursday.

A clerk at the Atlanta Municipal Court tells TMZ that Offset was pulled over because he had tinted windows. Police authorities saw he had an outstanding warrant and put him into jail overnight. Offset was able to post a $1,900 bond the next day.

Offset went to court and argued he paid a $316 suspended license ticket in December of 2015, which should have cleared him of any pending charges. The court tells TMZ that he was right and never should have been arrested at all.

His attorney, Drew Findling, says the arrest won’t affect his probation because he didn’t commit an offense. He is expected to get his $1,900 back in a few weeks.
