Philadelphia rapper Lil Uzi Vert has been making a lot of noise recently. He dropped the buzzy mixtape Luv Is Rage last year, and caught the attention of industry legends Don Cannon and DJ Drama. Now, he's putting in work with some hip-hop heavyweights. His new song "Countin" finds the Philly rapper linking up with Wiz Khalifa and 2 Chainz.
Although he's known for his rapid-fire raps, he slows things down on the track, adopting his more recent mumbly, Auto-Tune infused sound. "Countin' money, countin' guap until I'm getting blisters/I say what I want, I won't hold my tongue when I'm off the liquor," he sings in the chorus, before 2 Chainz comes in with his typically cash-heavy lyrics. Khalifa rounds out the track with his closing verse, turning things up with a fast-paced delivery. "Fuck I'm the king of the city/I don't take a trip unless I got a bitch with me/I pull up with pounds or I got a zip in me," he fires off, before ending things with a few sung bars.
Khalifa previously collaborated with Uzi on the song "Queso" from his Luv Is Rage mixtape. The whole track is produced by Murda Beatz. You can stream "Countin" below.
