It's been a minute since we last heard from Long Beach, Calif. rapper Joey Fatts. A longtime friend and mentee of the late great A$AP Yams, Fatts was struck by his death in a major way last year. He even released a touching tribute track to him last January called "Stevie World," where he mourned his lost friend.
Now, Fatts is back with his new mixtape I'll Call You Tomorrow, and he's seeking to honor Yams' legacy. "I know Yams proud," he tweeted. "A ni**a bouta cry. I just dropped mixtape of the year." It remains to be seen whether or not that's true, but the tape is certainly impressive. Boasting features from Vince Staples, Lil Yachty, and Playboi Carti, who each bring their own signature style to the project. Production is handled largely by Prezident Jeff and 100Staccs, who spin cloudy, laidback beats for Fatts to rhyme over.
