Rihanna might have blown up social media today with her sensual video for "Kiss It Better," but she wasn't the only one making buzz with the song. In fact, a much different artist was also grabbing attention with it: Father John Misty. The former Fleet Foxes member covered the ANTI track last night during his concert, and—despite the huge genre gap between the two artists—it was actually pretty awesome.

Misty certainly wove his signature style into the track, turning it from a poppy slow jam into a soft indie ballad befitting the I Love You, Honeybear singer. Aside from the backing music, he really didn't change too much about the song. Instead, he showed how Rihanna's track could be seen in a totally different light by simply switching up the person behind the microphone. The fans, whom many wouldn't expect to also be big fans of the Bajan pop star, seemed to really enjoy it as well.

With "Work" still dominating the Billboard charts and "Kiss It Better" seemingly ready to follow it, clearly everyone is trying to get a piece of Rihanna right now. You can check out her new video for "Kiss It Better" here, and see Father John Misty's unique interpretation of the song in the video above.
