The phantom producer delivers another deep cut electronic performance that reverberates with his signature slick synths before flaring up just in time for the hook. It's the kind of track that only ZHU could create in the dark depths of a studio somewhere, which is probably why it will seamlessly translate to the inky revelry of a club. Piano and tribal-like percussion syncopate to an instinctive heartbeat, tripping out into a blissed-out track that will fill dance floors everywhere.
The track arrives simultaneously with its video accompaniment. In a startling set of visuals, the video splices together images of the human body with a scene of a towering figure hanging out on some iridescent cliffs. Equal parts stimulating and intriguing, the video plunges deeper into intimate innuendo on the turquoise and pink washed beach scene, climaxing with emotion until its fiery finish. As ZHU's first original production of 2016 and his first offering since hisGenesis Series, "In the Morning" proves to be another hypnotic force of nature.
The new release arrives on the heels of ZHU's announcement yesterday that he is embarking on his first North American headlining tour with fellow Mind of a Genius artist Gallant.
