The importance of video game samples and 8-bit sounds in grime is well-established. We won't list all the tracks and mixes that pay homage to the sound, instead we'll look forward with this newness from Dexplicit. On new cut "Metroid", out Mar. 4 on Terror Danjah's rejuvenated Hardrive label, DXP makes overt references to the retro classic video game of the same name, whilst channeling the spirit of it with primitive bleeps and a bouncy-as-hell beat.
