Last night, Lady Gaga stole the show at the Academy Awards with a powerful performance of her song about sexual abuse, "Til It Happens to You." Before the show, Gaga said that she would be thinking of her friend Kesha during the performance and everything the singer is going through with her lawsuit against producer Dr. Luke. After Gaga slayed the emotional performance—where she had victims of sexual abuse on stage with her—Kesha tweeted out her thanks and approval of Gaga's set. "Thank u Lady Gaga and VP Joe Biden for bringing attention to sexual assault at the Oscars. It hit very close to my heart for obvious reasons," Kesha wrote.

The impact and power of Gaga's stirring performance was amplified by the fact that Vice President Joe Biden introduced her to the crowd and called for America to take a pledge to intervene when someone sees sexual abuse about to happen. Gaga has been very vocal in her support of Kesha in recent weeks and proved last night that she won't be slowing down that support anytime soon.
