This weekend, Beyoncé surprised the world with her new song, “Formation.” In case you missed it, “Formation” is produced byMike WiLL Made-It and co-written Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee. The video itself is directed by Melina Matsoukas. After numerous online rumors and a teaser on Ticketmaster's Snapchat, Bey has also announced an accompanying tour called the Formation World Tour.
The 34-year-old Houston native's latest announcement follows a string of major tours in the past few years. There’s her I Am… World Tour, as well as The Mrs. Carter Show World Tour and the On the Run Tour with her husband, Jay Z. The Formation World Tour should be just as special and moment worthy. For starters, fans will be given the opportunity to participate in Beyoncé's #BeyGOOD initiative supporting local United Way programs and the efforts surrounding the water crisis in Flint, Mich.
