Tyga recently went on a media run to promote his new single, "Baller Alert," which included an interview with Atlanta's Streetz 94.5 radio station. While Tyga talked about the single, the conversation quickly shifted to all of the controversies that he has been linked with over the past year.

The rapper was asked about inappropriately texting a 14-year-old model and the rumors that he had a relationship with a transgender actress. To all of it, Tyga basically responded that he thinks publications and the media in general have tried to flip situations to make him look bad. "It's messing up my formula, and my main plan and my goals," Tyga said. "I was like, 'Damn who's making this shit up,' like someone really has something against me up top somewhere. It's entertainment, it's clicks."

He also talked about his relationship with Kylie Jenner, and said that whether or not they're actually together, they'll always be good. So there's that. As far as his explanation for the texting of the 14-year-old model, he maintained that he only reached out because he was into her music and that he leaked the texts to prove that. Whether Tyga is able to come back from these controversies in 2016 will remain to be seen, but he's certainly trying to shift the narrative going forward.
