Just days before 2015 was over, Motörhead fans got some sad news about frontman Lemmy Kilmister. The musician died of cancer on Dec. 26 at the age of 70, only two days after receiving a diagnosis of an aggressive form of his condition.

Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol and Dave Navarro sent their condolences on Twitter.

Friends and fans who can’t attend the legendary bassist’s memorial service in Hollywood can watch Motörhead’s official YouTube channel for the live stream.

“Whatever your venue, and however you can, let’s be sure to gather globally on Saturday 9th and celebrate the life of our dear friend and irreplaceable icon," the organizers wrote in the description.
