Christina Aguilera could be dropping new music this year, as she’s posted on Instagram a photo of her in the studio. She looks focused and ready to lay down some vocals for an unnamed song.
Aguilera talked about her next album to Extra TVin the beginning of 2015, confirming that she’s worked with Pharrell on a song.
“During my pregnancy, I had a meeting with [Pharrell] and just connected on where I want to take the next album," she told Extra TV. "And we started talking music, and he has one song in particular that I love."
Although an album didn’t materialized, you can expect she’s working diligently on it. Her last studio album came in 2012 with Lotus, but she seems to be waiting until the perfect moment.
“I just have to make sure it is right and it is genuine and heartfelt," she said. "I’m very excited to pour my heart out into this record fully.”
