Adele continues to dominate the Billboard 200 chart with 25. This week, the album becomes the first held by a woman to spend its first seven weeks at No. 1 since 1987.

According to Billboard, 25 sold 194,000 copies, and of that sum, 164,000 were in pure album sales.

The only other album by a woman to chart at No. 1 its first seven weeks was Whitney Houston’s second album, Whitney. This album ruled for 11 weeks from the list dated June 17, 1987 to Sept. 5.

With 164,000 copies sold this week, 25’s total sales are now at 7.6 million in the United States. It’s no surprise that 25 finished as the top-selling album of 2015. People love it.
