Everyone remembers when Taylor Swift took her music off Spotify last year. The singer's music has since remained off the music streaming service giant except for a few soundtrack contributions. Somehow, the singer's hit "I Knew You Were Trouble" from 2012's Red album reappeared back on Spotify under the name of Welsh rock band Lostprophets with artwork depicting Canadian cartoon Scaredy Squirrel and the Lostprophets logo.

If you don't remember, Lostprophets made a name for themselves with their hit single "Last Train Home" back in the early 2000's. You might also recognize the name because their former lead singer Ian Watkins is a convicted sex offender for a string of deplorable sex offenses against minors under the age of 13.

Spotify is currently investigating how the song appeared on their service under the wrong name according to The Guardian. "The track in question was delivered to us by a provider, whose responsibility it is to ensure that content delivered to Spotify is fully licensed and in compliance with our Infringement Policy," a Spotify spokesperson explained. "We take the integrity of our catalogue very seriously, and will immediately remove any content that is found to be incorrectly licensed or attributed to the incorrect artist or composer."

The Lostprophets attributed version of the song has been circulating online for a month after it was uploaded by YouTube user Jared Brown and described as "the last song [Lostprophets] ever recorded." The track has since been taken down and Spotify's investigation is ongoing.
