Jimmy Carlton Winfrey (a/k/a PeeWee Roscoe) was sentenced to 20 years – 10 in prison followed by 10 on probation – after pleading guilty to six gang-related charges of the 30 counts in the Lil Wayne tour bus shooting case.

Bossip has obtained information that Winfrey has filed documents to appeal his guilty plea and the sentence that was ordered by the court.

In April, prosecutors claimed Winfrey, who was working as Young Thug’s manager, opened fire on Lil Wayne’s tour buses, and then attempted to hide the Camaro he was in at the time. After the shooting, the indictment noted he called a cellphone owned by Birdman, and went to meet the buses at the hotel afterwards to finish the job. It’s been reported that Winfrey orchestrated the hit to gain street credibility.

While the judge ordered Winfrey to serve a 20-year sentence, Winfrey’s lawyer has filed documents on Dec. 18 to appeal both his plea deal and sentencing in the criminal case. It hasn't been determined when we'll hear the results of the court's review.
