Hopefully we'll get it sooner than later.

Chance The Rapper got everyone excited that new music was on the way when he rapped during his "Sunday Candy" performance on Saturday Night Live: "Then the third tape slide down the chimney." With just a few more hours left until Christmas is officially over, Chance confirmed to his fans on Twitter that it isn't coming tonight.

The #thirdmixtape didn't slide down the chimney. In more important news, good people raised almost $60000 in 10 days for #WarmestWinter

The project—his first solo work since he dropped Acid Rap in 2013—would have basically cap Chance's 2015. We saw him take the next step in his already impressive career. To this point in the year, Chance hit the road for a headlining tour, released a project with Lil B, started his own charity in Chicago, dropped Surf with the Social Experiment, and became the first independent artist to ever perform on SNL. That's not even all of his accomplishments, but you get the point.

But Chance did give us an update on his Warmest Winter initiative, which he promises to raise $100,000 to help 1,000 homeless Chicago residents get coats for the winter. In his tweet, he says $60,000 was donated in over a period of 10 days.
