You probably remember Wild Belle from back in 2013 when they were featured on our "New Artists To Watch" list alongside Chance The Rapper and Disclosure. If you're not familiar, the Chicago brother-sister duo has since released their debut album Isles and carved out their own musical niche that combines bluesy rock and psych-pop into an otherworldly mix. Their newest single "Giving Up On You" produced by TV On The Radio's own Dave Sitek offers a first taste at their forthcoming sophomore album.

The song's official remix out today finds the duo linking up with Brooklyn native Victor Axelrod who is best known as Ticklah for his brand of rooted reggae sounds and contributing to one of the most successful reggae albums of the 21st century Dub Side Of The Moon. Exchanging the original's frantic beat for Ticklah's signature reggae sounds, the track leads with a distorted sonic step before digging out a whole new deep-ridden groove. "We love working with Ticklah," Wild Belle told us over email. "We love those early Jamaican sounds. Dusty and rude with a deep groove. He can emulate our favorites: Jackie Mittoo, Alton Ellis, Bob Marley. And he can WAIL on the organ. We wanted to create a sonic world where nobody has been before. We brought punk rock, 1970s Jamaica and Wild Belle into the same room."

Listen to our exclusive premiere of the remix above and look for Wild Belle's sophomore album to drop in January on Columbia Records.
