Pop force and former Complex cover star Charli XCX has never been shy when it came to her music or her opinions. The young singer might have cut her tour with Jack Antonoff short, but she spent a huge amount of time on the road in support of her 2014 album, Sucker. While on the road, Charli XCX also filmed a documentary about being a woman in the music industry.
Titled The F Word, this 42-minute documentary takes the viewer behind-the-scenes of her tour. She also interviewed friends and artists including Ryn Weaver, MS MR's Lizzy Plapinger, who is also the co-founder of illustrious indie label Neon Gold Records, andMarina and the Diamonds. "I feel like the question, 'What's it like to be a woman in the music industry?' is annoying/complex but still necessary. This doc explores that," she tweeted.
