It only makes sense that Adele would cover the newest issue of Rolling Stone. Her new single "Hello" quickly broke Vevo's record for most views in 24 hours (beating out previous record holder Taylor Swift), debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, and set the record for most downloads of a song in the United States in one week with 1.11 million. Her new album 25 is a lock to sell over one million copies in its first week.
Adele takes interviewer Brian Hiatt into her private life to talk 25, "Hello" and fame. "'Hello' is much more about regrouping with myself, reconnecting with myself," she says. Adele also dives deeper into her opinion of her career and fame. "My career's not my life, It's my hobby," she says. "People think I hate being famous. And I don't. I'm really frightened of it. I think it's really toxic, and I think it's really easy to be dragged into it."
Of course, Adele is also human and the one thing she is really waiting for is Frank Ocean's new album just like everyone else. "I'm just fucking waiting for Frank fucking Ocean to come out with his album. It's taking so fucking long. That sounds so stupid, coming from me, doesn't it?," she says. She also loves Rihanna. "But maybe Rihanna can be in my squad! That would be really cool. Oh, God. She's life itself, isn't she? I love her."
She also talks about the most personal part of her—her son Angelo. "All the things I really like about myself, he brings out in me, and he's the only person that tells me no. He completely rules me. He's the boss of me, and it's so funny for other people to watch, because I'm the boss of everything in my work life."
