UPDATE 9/17: Iggy Azalea took to Twitter this afternoon to respond to T.I.'s recent comments on Hot 97. You can read her tweets below:

Heres the deal, I am still signed to @tip and do business with him. The first ive heard of us having an "issue" is via a radio interview.
Personally, i dont think the radio is the place to talk about your personal issues with someone thats part of your team...
He seems to think theres nothing wrong with what he said, everybody else seems to disagree.

Original Story: It's been a weird year for Iggy Azalea. Ever since Q-Tip delivered a much-needed hip-hop history lesson to the Australian rapper on Twitter in December, Azalea has been flitting back and forth between absenteeism and cringey single releases. Back in December though, Azalea still had T.I. on her side, and it seems like her most stalwart advocate is no longer propping her up.

Earlier today T.I. stopped by the "Ebro in the Morning" show and explained when and why he parted ways with his former mentee. "In her defense, she had a lot thrown at her at one time," Tip said. "Any human being anywhere gon' have a hard time adjusting...Some stuff they brought upon themselves. In some cases it kind of was just the easiest place to put some pent-up aggression."

When asked about when exactly he stopped working with Iggy, T.I. noted Iggy's infamous response to Q-Tip as the turning point. "After the Q-Tip thing," he said. "After I kind of had smoothed it over, like okay, 'What is really meant to be said here is...' After it was cool, everything was cool, and then they kind of came back and undid what I had just [accomplished]. I'ma be all the way real: I'm a loyal partner. If I rock with you I'm gon' rock with you...I really do feel that they just needed a little more time to adjust, which I feel they can do. They have the talent, they have the charisma."

Meanwhile, Tip is back on his own grind, and clearing up the Iggy Azalea air seems like a smart move ahead of his own upcoming tenth album. Check out Tip's latest EP right here and watch the full interview above.
